AMR (Automatic Magnification Reading) was developed to help solve this problem.
What is AMR?
AMR is a hardware-and-software integration found in the Dino-Lite Edge Series. The microscope detect the exact position of the magnification dial and report that data to the DinoCapture software in real-time.
As you turn the dial to focus, the magnification value on your screen updates automatically.

By automating the data entry process, AMR removes the possibility of “magnification mismatch.” Whether you are at 50x or 220x, the software updates to the matching scale.

AMR isn’t limited to your desktop. When paired with the WF-20 Wi-Fi Streamer or used with our AF Series (Wireless-Ready) models, AMR data is transmitted directly to the DinoConnect app on iOS or Android.

While AMR provides incredible convenience, we always recommend a quick calibration using a trusted target for the highest possible accuracy. AMR makes this process even easier by automatically recognizing the starting magnification, streamlining your setup time.
