This is a Dino-Lite video focusing on zebrafish research applications. Zebrafish are very popular in scientific and medical research and are known as a model organism for studies relating to vertebrate development, developmental biology and human genetic diseases.

The Dino-Lite is a handheld microscope camera that connects to a computer via USB with most standard models going up to 220x magnification.  

All the sample images shown were captured by Dino-Lite microscopes. The AM4115T-GFBW uses blue LEDs to observe green fluorescence.  The AM4115T-YFGW uses green LEDs to observe orange and red fluorescence. The AM4115-CFVW uses violet LEDs to observe cyan fluorescence. Each of these models uses seven colored fluorescence LEDs and one white LED. The lighting can be toggled in the software for more versatility. 

Features

The Dino-Lite includes an easy-to-use software that has many basic and advanced features including measurement tools for the previously mentioned models as well as other drawing and text tools that can be used to label images and annotations. 

Software adjustable camera options include negative and monochrome modes and more. There are many compatible accessories to choose from including tabletop stands to help provide a stable rack for the microscope, as well as a petri dish attachment and dual microscope options. 

Accessories

The BL-CDW provides bright field and dark field illumination options that help increase the viewing of blood flow and the heart beat as well. There are also a mobile viewing options such as a Wi-Fi adapter to stream the Dino-Lite to Wi-Fi devices like smartphones and tablets. 

Dino-Eye eyepiece cameras are inserted into the eyepiece slot of an existing traditional microscope. Dino-Lite models with specific fluorescent  LEDs help to provide quick high-quality viewing options without the need for staining, offering an easy workaround for the standard seven-day waiting period involved with the staining process. This makes the Dino-Lite a great tool for checking on egg quality and viewing blood flow and heartbeat even in non-injected samples.
