Dino-Lite handheld microscopes with polarizers are very useful for reflective surfaces in reducing glare and providing a clear image result. Some surfaces also display differently under polarized light. For the best images with the most desirable colors, try to set the white balance while the camera is focused on a plain white background. If the subject is inside of a case, the best images will come from taking the item out of the case. If that is not possible or practical, turn off the built-in LED’s and use external lighting. Try to protect the subjects from external lighting; sometimes other lights in the room will negatively affect the image.
