USB Models
We recommend downloading the latest software version from our Downloads page as the version online will have the newest features and updates to the software.
Install the DinoCapture 2.0 for Windows or DinoXcope software for macOS.
Connect your Dino-Lite microscope directly to your computer via USB. Try to avoid using a USB hub as this could cause connection and quality issues with the Dino-Lite.
Open the DinoCapture 2.0 or DinoXcope software. You should see the Dino-Lite LED’s turn on and the live view window should display the live image from the scope.
If you don’t see a live image for any reason, check out these support articles or contact us for quick support.

Using the Dino-Lite
How to Focus

To properly orient the Dino-Lite to coincide with your personal view of an object and the view on the screen, the Dino-Lite logo should be facing away from you. When facing the scope, the magnification dial should be positioned on the left side of the model.
As seen in the color coded image, once properly oriented, your view and the Dino-Lite will correspond more closely with the live view on screen when viewing subjects with the scope.
